Suzanne Baum is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has been with the Bay Pediatric Center since 2005. She received her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of New Hampshire and her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Suzanne was previously employed at DuPont Pediatrics in Seaford, DE and the Talbot County Health Department, in the school-based wellness centers.
She lives in St Michaels with her husband Kevin and two sons. She has experience with sick and well children and also works with weight management, asthma management and adolescent health.
Lauren Eagan is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who joined The Bay Pediatric Center in 2017. Lauren completed her first undergraduate degree in Anthropology at Davidson College. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University, and received her Master’s degree in pediatric primary care from The Catholic University of America. Lauren has experience as a registered nurse on pediatric step-down and intensive care units at Duke Hospital and Children’s National Medical Center. Prior to moving to the Eastern Shore Lauren worked for five years as a nurse practitioner at a primary care practice in Washington, D.C.
Lauren enjoys the slower pace of Eastern shore life with her husband and beloved dog. In her leisure time she loves cooking, yoga, gardening, reading, and hiking. Her future goals are to learn Spanish, cultivate oysters off her shoreline, and resist the urge to get a second dog…. we’ll see how it goes.
Heide is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who started with the Bay Pediatric Center in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Maryland School of Nursing. She spent 10 years working in the NICU and the pediatric inpatient and emergency units at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Heide earned a Master of Science Degree from the University of Maryland. Her focus was in the primary care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. The care of children and their families has always been a passion of hers.
Heide lives in Annapolis with her husband and four children. She enjoys sailing, reading, cooking and knitting in her spare time.
Karen M. Steinhardt is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been with the Bay Pediatric Center since 2008. She received her undergraduate Bachelors Degree of Health Science at the University of Kentucky and her master’s degree of medical science from Midwestern University.
Karen’s previous employment includes working as a Pediatric Physician Assistant in Salisbury as well as a Donor Coordinator with the American Red Cross Marrow Donor Program in Los Angeles, CA.
She lives in Cambridge with her husband, Scott, and two sons. Karen has experience with both sick and well children and is a valuable member of our practice.
Dr. Landy Cook is a native of Columbia, Maryland. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He then attended residency in pediatrics at the University of Vermont. Dr. Cook is board-certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He enjoys treating children of all ages from birth through adolescence.
Dr. Cook joined The Bay Pediatric Center in September, 2003. He spent the previous two years working in the small community of Taos, New Mexico and later moved to Easton to be closer to his family.
He and his wife Megan live in Easton with their three children. In his free time, Dr. Cook enjoys running, sailing, gardening, and outdoor activities.
Dr. Charlotta (Lotta) Denton received her medical degree from Karolinska Institue in Stockholm Sweden. She completed her internship at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville and her pediatric residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Dr Denton has enjoyed treating children in the Easton area since 1998 and has served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Hospital. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Denton lives with her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Denton, and their four children in Easton. When she is able to find time, she enjoys reading, skiing, traveling and baking.
Dr. Kyle received her undergraduate degree from Ursinus College. She attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College and then completed a Pediatric Residency at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Kyle is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She has been providing pediatric care on the Eastern Shore since 1996. Dr. Kyle came to the Bay Pediatric Center in 2003. She enjoys treating children of all ages from birth through adolescence.
She and her husband Doug, live in Cambridge with their 5 children. In her free time, she enjoys boating, swimming and spending time with her family.
Dr. Betsy Mason has been practicing Pediatrics in Easton for 18 years.
Dr. Mason received a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in 1986 and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1990. She completed a Pediatric Residency at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was appointed to the teaching staff of the residency program after graduation. She then was transferred to Naples, Italy where she was the Department Head of Pediatrics at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Naples, Italy.
During her years in the military, she also chaired the Family Advocacy Committee and continues her commitment to advocating for child victims of abuse and neglect. She has been working with other local professionals to help establish the mid-shore’s first Children’s Advocacy Center here in Talbot County and serves as its Medical Director.
Dr. Mason is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also maintains membership in The American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
Dr. Mason lives in Trappe with her husband, Dr. Richard Mason, a local Orthopaedic Surgeon. They have three children.
Dr. Elizabeth Wroth is a native of the Eastern Shore. She received her undergraduate degree from Williams College and received her medical degree from George Washington University in D.C. Dr. Wroth then attended residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia where she practiced pediatrics in the Richmond area for 19 years.
Dr. Wroth is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has served as Vice-Chairman of Pediatrics at Shore Memorial Hospital and actively serves on various hospital committees.
Dr. Wroth joined The Bay Pediatric Center in 2006 after spending the previous 3 years with Dr. Storch in Easton.
She enjoys treating children of all ages from birth to adolescence.
Dr. Wroth lives in St. Michaels with her husband, Jim and bull terrier, Riley. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, gardening, knitting, reading and spending time with her parents.
