Urgent Walk-in Care

Mon-Fri: 8:00am – 9:00am
Saturday: 8:00am – 11:00am
CLOSED SUNDAY

After-Hours

We offer a pediatric nurse triage service to answer emergency calls after hours. A pediatrician is always oncall to handle these emergencies.

If you have a routine question, need to schedule an appointment, or are requesting a presciption refill, please wait until regular office hours to call as we are better able to handle your requests during routine office hours.

Also remember that we have morning weekend hours available, and we will do our best to see your child the day that she is sick.

Walk-Ins

If you have a rough night with your child, you are welcome to walk-in the following morning Monday through Friday for your child to be seen at 8:00 am. These visits are intended to be for acute, relatively straightforward problems rather than long term concerns like chronic abdominal pain or headaches. Generally, during the rest of the day appointments are preferred, but if you have an emergency we will always make sure your child is seen.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your child’s appointment for any reason, please call to do so at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. That will allow us to see other children who are ill right away. Of course, emergencies come up, but please try to give as much advance notice as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment. If no shows are a chronic problem, you may be asked to transfer out of the practice after the 3rd no show appointment.

Insurance

Please bring your child’s current insurance card to every visit and, if applicable, make sure that one of our physicians is listed as your child’s primary care provider. This will ensure that your child can be seen by our office and that the visit will be covered by your insurance plan. If you have seleected another primary care physician on your child’s insurance card, this needs to be changed PRIOR to your child’s visit in order for her to be seen. We accept most insurance plans. If you have any questions about whether your insurance is accepted or about choosing a primary care physician, please call us to verify.

Payment

Payment is expected at the time of your child’s visit. If your insurance requires a co-payment, it is due at the time of service. The insurance companies require that a co-payment be made at every office visit. We do accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. This allows us to keep our office costs down and avoid any unnecessary billing. That way we can spend more of our attention on our patients where it belongs. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
